Yes, you can't actually create Sukanya Samriddhi Account in SBI using the OnlineSBI Portal. In case you want to create, you have to visit the nearest SBI account and then submit the Sukanya Samriddhi Account form with all necessary documents.

So, it's clear that you have to visit your nearest SBI branch or the main branch in your city to get some solid information about Sukanya Samriddhi Account in SBI. It can be done in very easy steps:

  1. Login to your SBI NetBanking Account and Add Payee/Beneficiary account with Sukanya Samridhi account details
  2. And then go ahead and transfer the money as you do for a normal bank account, as soon as your beneficiary details get approved in 4 hours.
  3. Funds for most of the banks can only be transferred through NEFT Only. So make sure to transfer the funds within the NEFT time frame only.

You can open an SSA account with SBI, but you can't link Sukanya Samriddhi Account in SBI Online like you can do for the PPF account and also transfer funds. In case of fund transfer, you have to add your daughter's SSA account as a beneficiary and then transfer money.
